What do you do to pay your bills?  Employee Benefits

How did you learn about CrossFit and how did you end up in our awesome Box?  I heard about from my friend, Todd. He kept telling me how great crossfit was and that I should join. I really didn’t want to work out, nor did I think I needed to, but one day I was feeling a little less lazy and decide to try this CrossFit thing out. After finishing my cigarette, I walked in and did my first CrossFit WOD. OMG! I almost died, but I got hooked for life.

What do you like most about being a FIT member (Hyper CrossFit Athlete)? There are so many reasons why I walk through the door of Hyper CrossFit, but the main reason is the staff and the other members. They are always friendly, they will motivate you on your off days, push you on your best days, and cheer you on every day. Showing up at CrossFit is not so much working out, as much as it is being around friends.

What is your proudest moment/biggest accomplishment since you started?  I have had numerous accomplishments and proud moments since I have started and every one of them means a lot to me. The one that stands out the most is the first time I completed a WOD RX. That is when I truly saw the results of CrossFit.

What are you still working on to achieve?  What am I still working on? Everything. It’s a never ending process to improve in every area and I always want to achieve more strength, more endurance, or more rep. I am currently focused on my shoulder press. I would really like to shoulder press over 150# one day.

Tell us one random fact about yourself that has nothing to do with Crossfit. I love to fish!

If you created a WOD and named it after yourself, what would it be? My WOD would definitely have to be call “CRAZY LEGS!” It would have to involve front or back squats. I got the name Crazy Legs because when I first started CrossFit, my legs would shake every time I would do squats.

What advice would you offer to someone interested, but intimidated to try Crossfit?  My advice would be to just try it. You will see why so many people that could never get off the couch and go to the gym are now doing CrossFit. You will see people like yourself accomplishing small goals everyday. CrossFit FITS everyone’s level.

Any additional comments you would like to share?  I really have to say that I’m honored for being chosen for Athlete of the Month. I am shocked because there are so many other athletes that deserve this award more. Thank you for this honor.
