What do you do to pay your bills? K/1 Special Education Teacher

How did you learn about CrossFit and how did you end up in our awesome Box? A good friend of mine was a coach at a local CrossFit Box and talked about it all the time. I decided to give it a try and was addicted from the start. I have been doing CrossFit for 4 years now. I needed a change from my previous box and came across Hyper CrossFIT when a friend shared a link to The BattleGrounds at Burlington Army of 2. After the first drop-in, I was impressed with the space, atmosphere, coaching, and availability of the gym. Joining Hyper has been the best decision I have made!

What do you like most about being a FIT member (Hyper CrossFIT Athlete)? Going to CrossFit is the best part of my day. The workouts are challenging and allow me to push myself to do things I never thought I could. It is tough to push yourself when working out alone, and the community at Hyper encourages you to push through when you need it the most. The coaches always take the time to help you improve and offer advice on technique and new skills. The best part is getting your WOD on side by side with your friends in both a fun and competitive way!

What is your proudest moment/biggest accomplishment since you started? PR’ing my FRAN time by 2 minutes and getting pistols and butterfly pull-ups.

What are you still working on to achieve? Bar and ring muscle-ups.

Tell us one random fact about yourself that has nothing to do with Crossfit.  I have run 3 half marathons and would love to do a full one day… maybe.

What is your favorite WOD or benchmark? Helen and 17.1

If you created a WOD, what would it consist of?

Danimal
Partner Wod: #115/75, 20/14
800m run (together)
60 Clean & Jerks
60 Wall balls
60 Deadlifts
60 Burpee over bar
400m run (together)
40 Clean & jerks
40 Wall balls
40 Deadlifts
40 Burpee over bar
200m run (together)
20 Clean & jerks
20 Wall balls
20 Burpee over bar

What advice would you offer to someone interested, but intimidated to try CrossFit? CrossFit is for everyone. It’s a place that you can forget about everything and focus on yourself. It’s all about you and what you put into it. When you put your mind to it, you can accomplish things you never thought you would.
