Extensive research has shown that a regular exercise program for seniors improves overall conditioning and helps prevent chronic diseases. In fact, physical exercise benefits seniors more than any other group, helping to promote sleep, strength, cardiovascular health, and an enhanced sense of well-being. Here at FIT, we offer this program using circuit training that targets heart health, stamina, strength and balance through a variety of selected and safe functional exercises. Medical screening is essential upon starting that is why blood pressure and heart rate are taken before each exercise session to assure safe and proper response to exercise. This program was originally offered as a bridge for former Physical Therapy patients who are now ready to do an independent exercise program. Now, it is open to the any senior who wants to participate in exercise. It is offered Three times a week via a month-to-month membership with no contracts.
