What do you do to pay your bills? Plumber
How did you learn about CrossFit and how did you end up in our awesome Box? My brother was a Crossfit coach for a number of years. I found Hyper CrossFIT online. It was the closest box to me at the time and after meeting Yolanda the same day I was sold.
What do you like most about being a FIT member (Hyper CrossFIT Athlete)? I never was a fan of group training sessions. However, after giving it a try the benefits far outweigh any negatives. I push myself a little harder than I would alone. Also, everybody is encouraging others to keep going. After all who wants to suffer alone. In addition, I love that someone is handling the programming! It’s not something I have to think about and I can see progress in strength and endurance.
What is your proudest moment/biggest accomplishment since you started? So far the rope climb. I could not figure it out for a while. One day during a WOD I decided I’m going up and I did.
What are you still working on to achieve? Overhead Squats, Overhead Squats and Overhead Squats!!
Tell us one random fact about yourself that has nothing to do with Crossfit. My favorite style of beer is a Belgian Tripel.
What is your favorite WOD or benchmark? “LINDA” aka: “3 Bars of Death”
If you created a WOD, what would it be called and consist of? RFT 1- “LIFT FREE OR DIE HARD” 2- “MELLY MEL’S FURIOUS 5″3 or 3- MONSTERS BALL. The movements would consist of Cleans, Deadlift, STOH, Wall balls and Row.
What advice would you offer to someone interested, but intimidated to try CrossFit? Give it a chance and you’ll find the benefits far outweigh any initial fear or pain.
